I'm sure this must have been done before.

Whats the best / funniest / most bizarre / unusual comment you have ever got whilst out with a big scope or lens on your DSLR.

I have heard all the normal "Wow what a big lens", but have you had any truley unique comments that have made you smile devilishly?

Please share them with us.

I'll start.

Lady- "How can you see properly, when one eye is covered by the camera??"

Me- "If I squint real hard, I can just make out the outlines"

Girl at work- "You mean when you take a picture of the spider with that, it comes out bigger? Get it away from me!! "

Whilst using a friends very nice fixed 12" dob, which fits easily in his truck

"Wow that's huge! Bet you wish you'd bought a collapsible" :)

I have no clue about this one, still has me perplexed. :screwy:
"Nice camera. Old? Bet batteries are a problem. They didn't think of re-chargable AA's in those days"

It wasn't said to me but to SWMBO, with a shocked intonation.

"Do you know how much that cost?"

One word reply. "Yes".

Not exactly a big scope or lens, but just tonight after getting home from a very long work day and been home for a couple of Hr's my 18 yr old daughter finally let's me know that a package I had been waiting for had arrived, I found it and opened it , my just purchased (from a member here) 26mm 2" Meade Eyepiece had arrived, I'm new to the scene and only received my first real scope yesterday, I was wrapped and was prancing around the lounge going FWORE check out my new eyepiece, look at the size of it, have a look at this two inch baby.

My loving 18 yr old who is here on holidays glance's over from the computer screen and calmly comments "Dad Two inches isn't Big".

I was at the beach shooting with my 500 f4 when a lady behind me asked: "Do you mind if my son has a look through your camera"
"No. Not at all" I said and gave the kid a look.
Nothing really, except the woman was Claudia Black: one of my all time go-weak-at-the-knees-and-gibber hotties.
I went weak at the knees and gibbered.
Oh Claudia! If we could do it again. You'd soon see the beuaty of grey-haired fat guys!!
