The kids and I saw some fantastic rotation in a very very small patch of cloud. I was waiting with camera ready, just in case.
Rae and I were watching the exact same thing here an hour or two ago, Jeanette.
Some really interesting stuff going on this afternoon and this evening.
BTW...we were up in Kilcoy the other day. Thursday, in fact.
We visited a few wineries and dropped in for a beer at the local pub.
Thought of you.:)

I dont know about my fellow Queenslanders, But despite how our great state clearly needs this rain.. I've just about had enough.. :) I just want some sunshine and clear nights... just a Friday and Saturday night with no cloud would be nice!

It was a fizzer, lots of rain, nothing else.
Cheers!!!
It's a beautiful region you live in. I'd never been there before but decided to hop in the car that morning and do a loop from Bris, through Esk and Kilcoy, and then back home via the Bruce Hwy.
We timed our visit well. We were told at Winyar Winery that it had been dry and brown up until only a week or so before our visit. Rain had changed the landscape after a terrible dry period.
It was all very lush and pretty by the time we got there, and you could sense the relief among those we met and spoke with:)
Still...we need more...and spread out over the months.

Did you go to Nirvana Estate Winery??
My GP, Tom Doolan, owns it. He's also a keen amateur astronomer. Every time I go to visit him, he sets aside 10min to discuss the latest happenings.
Actually, my avatar image of the partial eclipse was taken from behind his surgery. Tom was sneaking out between patients to have a look.
Yep. And bought a bottle of their 2007 wooded chardonnay and two bottles of the 2000 Shiraz.:)
The storms were enough to hijack our Sunday country drive. No sky, no fresh air....
Will just have to do some work around here instead....

Hi Kev & jjj, :)
We had the edge of those storm cells. Quite mild. Distant thunder but a lot of heavy rain. I can live with that kind of storm.;)
Nice shot jjj :)

Yeah i saw this one come over, but all rain and clouds makes Alan a bored boy.
Strange in Brisbane, more rain during summer than winter... not used to this at all coming from Melbourne.
