Hit this cluster with an all nighter after Moon set. Processed at 1.6x native pixel size. Took a lot of care with focus to get the star colours at their best.
Canon 5DH, 100ED at f/7.65 and FL 765mm with Hutech #7887 FR/FF. Hutech LPR filter. FOV approx 3x2 degrees.
Exposures 20X(30s, 1m, 2m ) and 36x4m at 1600ISO. Fridge at -10C. Usual HDR method. Transparency and seeing both good.

Very nice Bert... Deep images of star clusters are really appealing.. And I think HDR is the best way to approach it too... Pleasing colours and range make this a really really enjoyable image to view!
How are you enjoying working with a slightly longer focal length than the 300/2.8?

On closer inspection, I notice quite a few small hydrogen patches throughout the image also... Where abouts in the sky is this?

NGC 3532 is three degrees below Carina. It has a high dynamic range. The image actually shows dim nebulosity and dim dust as well as the bright stars without blowing out. The 30 second exposures were needed.

This cluster looks great in your finder, doesn't it have a trumpler number too?
Lots of stars, nice job, looks a tad green to me though..?

Nice image Tevor. Interesting comparison of FOV of a 80ED with C size sensor to a 100ED with full frame.
