Hi all

Back in April 2009 over the Easter Long Weekend, my family and I headed out to Dubbo for a couple of night camping trip. The main purpose of the holiday was to visit the Dubbo Zoo.

It was a pretty ordinary holiday in the end, raining almost all the time and we got 2 flat tyres on the bikes that we hired to ride around the zoo! :)

All shots taken handheld with the Canon 20D and stock 75-300mm lens.

Thanks for looking.

Mental note: if I'm ever getting chased by a tiger, don't climb up a tree.

Great pics again Mike, animals are certainly wonderful subjects in the wild, or at zoos.

Hi Mike,

Some fabulous shots! Love the tiger!

The poor elephant looks a little sad though. :( When you observe them in the wild they
seem to be constantly on the move and are full of life and energy and look powerful.
Unfortunately even the better zoos like Dubbo never seem to have the luxury
of the tens acres of land they would probably need to feel at home.

I bet the kids loved the day at the zoo though!

Once again, great shots!

I just want to rub kitties' tummy. LOLOL
Great set of images Mike.
Are you going to print them out for the kids to laminate? They'd look great up on the wall.

Great pics.
I haven't been to Dubbo Zoo in years. Everytime I went the Elephants never had any sort of shade. Don't know if they are still like that though.
