:( Greetings ,
I've not used a my biggest telescope for years , why ? because its easier to use one of my smaller scopes .

Just wonder if this is common ?

Bobby.

My 8" lives in it's box in the dining room. Can't remember the last time I had it out. I use my 80mm all the time.

Thanks jjjnettie , I don't feel that guilty now :)
Some times I use just binoculars for a peek .

Cheers Bobby.

Bino's are terrific. Grab and go. Often thought of investing in a bigger pair, but then after the initial love affair is over, they'll just sit there not being used because I'm too lazy to set up a tripod for them. LOL

Yep bino's are great , I've got many sets , my bigger ones ( 20x80 ) don't see much light , love an old pair of Jap wide angle 8x40s !

Oh yes!!!
Very much so.
It's not especially difficult for me. Its just that, unless I can count on a clear, windless 4 hours, it seems a bit of a faff to set up the 12" dob.
Thinking of downsizing actually - maybe a 10" LB, possibly even an 8" SCT. Hmmmnnnn.
