Here are some more shots from Sunday mornings early trip out to Queens park

Excellent set Andrew - cool eyes on that Sawfly as well, makes me wish I hadn't ignored it and had taken a few shots now. Wish I'd managed a shot of the beefly, but as we both know, it decided to parallel park me whilst I was on the ground lol. Love the Owlfly shots too - that last one's a cracking shot!

Dave - he certainly had some funky eyes that owlfly. I think I got more entertainment out of you trying to get that beefly shot, than actually gettting the shot myself ;)

hahaha! Well, I did try! A bit saddened that I didn't manage a 1:1 shot though :( Always next time I guess.

Great set, Andrew. Man, I wish I was there for that owlfly. Very cool and unusual. Last shot is a cracker, loving the eyes.

I'm thinking it may have been newly emerged from it's cocoon. That white stringy stuff near it's front right leg is often a sign of that, at least for cicadas, dragon and damselflies it is.
