Carina with 100ED

Could not resist as a test. Sorry!

Canon 5DH, 100ED at f/7.65 and FL 765mm. Hutech LPR filter.

Exposures 20X(1m, 2m ) and 14x4m at 1600ISO. Fridge at -5C. Usual HDR method.

The poor fridge just made it to -5C as it was a hot night. Noise is not as much of a problem with a bright target as Carina neb. The dark dust is visible even though exposures were to short to record them adequately.

Eta Carina has brightened from 6 to 5 recently.

That is a pretty good image. Nice clours and fairly understated.

Good scale. I take it you didnt use flats as it was a test only (an there are some variations at the corners)?

THe 100 ED's are interesting as they give you a wider FOV (Than the ED80) with the same or better F ratio.

Are you happy with it so far?
