Got a chance to image this new active region today. However the seeing was a little on the blink with it being so hot here. Still it gives you an idea of what this beast looks like in Ha.

AR stands for Active Region. All new visible sunspots are given a number, so the next one will be AR 1036 etc.

Beautiful Paul, you can see the fil arch right out of the upper region. btw theres also an area to the SE of this lot that bears watching. Its on my mosaic and has a small fil in it.
