Hi All,
I apologize in advance if these videos have already been posted. I had heard about them but only yesterday had the absolute pleasure of seeing them on youtube.
These video's are by astronomers at the NASA IRTF observatory on Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii. These are incredibly talented people.
I have attached two links, the first is to a video about the Bird Strike of 2009. I am sure that we are all very proud of Anthony Wesley and his discovery of an impact on Jupiter earlier this year. This video is about his discovery and its effect on the professional world of astronomy.

The second video is made by the same astronomers and is a parody about working at the IRTF on Mauna Kea titled "Hotel Mauna Kea".
Hotel Mauna Kea refers to the quarters at 9,000 ft on Mauna Kea where many of the visiting astronomers are housed, so that they can acclimatize to the altitude better, rather than commuting from sea level to 14,000 ft each day.
