I would say it might be an unidentified flying object, as I cant indentify what you have taken a photo of and it looks like it might be in the air, but cant really tell, picture is not the clearest.

Defiantly a flying saucer UFO
Notice the cork screw spiral out of the back that is caused by air turbulence
what I can see indicates it was in trouble, look at some of the red plumes indicating it was on fire
Have a look:eyepop:

Well, both photos were taken within a week of heavy sightings. I'll give you a clue NarreWarren & Prof. Gail spring at RMIT as he could not find any fault on the negatives or nikon camera gear. The plot thickens.

Rick, it was totally silent but moved like ice on a hot plate. Frictonless you might say.

Baron, if you look more closely you will also see nav lights around the ream. large, small, large, small and in red & green colours. This is why I believe this to be from earth origins. Earth aircraft use red & green wing lights, so it far to much a coincidence don't you think.

Baron I promise you it was not on fire or in trouble because when the police heli rocked up it was gone.

Don't know what's in the second photo, but that first one reminds me of a craft known as "pumpkin seed". The shape and the trail it's leaving there are reminiscent of a craft that's been seen flying over the Californian coastline on numerous occasions heading towards Edwards AFB, and also in the direction of Nevada, towards Area 51. If it is indeed "pumpkin seed", it's of Earthly origin. They believe the craft is a triangular shaped craft that uses a liquid hydrogen injected methane pulse detonation drive system for propulsion. The contrail it leaves in orange in colour and on closer inspection looks like what you see there.

Yes, i've heard of the pumkin seed craft before too, The second photo was an object hovering over a street light for some 10 minutes. Some believe it's refueling somehow taking energy from the pole.
