A small mars image from this morning, the seeing was so bad that no colour image was possible. This image was taken using an Astronomik 807nm IR filter.

Hi Anthony, gotta love the job the 807 does in really ordinary seeing.
In fact have just come up with a slogan.
Getting hold of a Astronomik IR 807 is akin to planetary imaging heaven!!!!
Looking good Bird, most impressive image and no limb artifact, top stuff.
Regards
Trevor
Thanks all, and I also noticed no limb artifact - maybe it only happens when the seeing is in a certain range, and when it's really bad like last night you don't get it... dunno.

Great detail Anthony, the IR filter is a winner to cut through the atmosphere disturbances.
All the best.
