Here's a few pics taken today with the stock 18-55mm lens.
Straight out of the camera, default "full auto" mode, resized and reduced quality for web.
I like this camera.

you will loose a lot of money doing that, reselling your old digital camera is a lost cause unless you are really that cash strapped. I bought a minolta dimage 7 and i got it at a discounted price of 1600 from 2900. Now its worth probably only $400-$600. It has several features the Pentax doesn't, or for that matter the canon. But the fact remains, I use it as a backup camera, or when I get the eq6 mount photography platform up and running, a widefield camera that can take shots to capture any meteors while I am guiding on a particular area of sky. Don't loose a potential family camera too Mike, while your utilising the canon ;)

You're right h0ughy, it would be good to keep the Sony as it's a fit-in-the-pocket little digicam and it still takes good shots.
Plus I'd only get a few hundred for it, as the 7.2mp version of my Sony is now out for around $600.
Dave, it'll be on my must-do list at the next new moon meetup at Kulnura!
