No scope, just a cheap zoom lens on a Canon 400D (and it shows! :P ). Comet 88P Howell is a 'marvel', still brighter than mag 10 after months! Very happy to get traces of 169P NEAT and 118P Shoemaker-Levy even if they are pretty ugly & stretched, because I couldn't get the slightest sign of them a month ago. They are quite dim. 169P was very low in western twilight and is disappearing from view - will be better early next year as it becomes circumpolar and climbs in darker evening skies. 217P LINEAR had an outburst a while back, but has dimmed off.
