2009 equipment time

what is the piece of equipment you have spent time with this year..

it could be a broken EQ mount, frustrating computer software, a telescope you keep looking thru the wrong end

For me it was my kunming series BA8 10x50's..

Polar alignment, tweaking/fine tuning the HEQ5 has been the thing that has kept me occupied this year. I think I know what I'm doing now, kinda!!!

Telescope and mount definitely. With the weather we had this year since April I have pulled my C11 apart, my mount apart and tried to make things better. I'm just back into imaging mode now. Still waiting for the weather. I'm having fun though and got used tinkering with the gear, which is not good really... I should be out imaging. :question: I have a far better understanding of how things work now too which is a plus. :)

With a permanent setup I really don't waste much time on imaging equipment or software but I do waste a lot of time in the shed experimenting on bits and pieces. I would love a good lathe and mill but would have to retire to make time to use them.

Binoculars for me. Since I work nights most of the week doing security patrols I take them with me. It would be a little hard getting a 12" dob in the back of our work car (nissan tida).

Spent most of my time working in the shed and around the farm.

Spent a bit of time playing with my router, that is one fun toy as well. :thumbsup:

I agree with Doug a lathe would be an awesome addition to my shed, I wonder if a new one of them would attract clouds as well. :question: :lol:

I think if most people were honest they would have to click software as I imagine most here would spend way more time on this site than they do looking (or imaging) through a telescope.

Geoff, not sure what you mean here, we are honest, well I expect most of us are, and software is not really a issue at all, well not for me anyway.
