Nice pic of Ursa Major.

Isn't it a good thing its letting off a bit of steam or pressure on a regular basis?

It'll go off like it did back in 1883, at some stage in the future. It's done it several times...1883, 535 and around 4300BC (that was the largest explosion). Although, it's believed the 535AD eruption was the one that sunk the land bridge between Java and Sumatra, so it was pretty major itself, bigger than 1883.

So its ursa major ? Don't think thats one I can see from home :)

Dr Fulle ( who took that shot ) is a well known astronomer
his shots of volcanoes are pretty amazing .I find volcanoes incredible and still watch the St Helens doco from time to time .Sadly the only one to correctly predict the nature of that 1980 erruption was on station that morning 10kms away.

Looking "Big Dipper" like to me...From Mt. Saint Helens I am not sure that the Scorpion is even visible...
