Atiksons Dam for viewing?

Just a quick question (this might not be the right forum, if not appolgies), if anyone has been there from S/E QLD. It looks like a decent spot to go viewing to on a map, but just after any first hand experiances.

It's right in the middle of a triangle including Esk, Gatton and Ipswich.

pmrid's place (ten chain hill) isn't that far north of there, so some of the people who get together there may have some experience in that area.
