Not bad for my 3rd attempt with the toucam. Getting abnormal colors in the pics....must be the achro. refractor? :confuse3:

Beautiful! The colour problem's almost certainly due to the acro refractor - while my Mewlon's away for servicing I'm also using a 6inch synta acro refactor and experiencing the same issues though I haven't turned it on Saturn yet, just mars. Are you using any filtering? I stacked together a baader IR/UV and a WO minus violet filter to kill of both ends of the spectrum - this helps (might get rid of some violet fringing), but I notice when opening up the histogram tab in Registax that the R, G, and B lines are way out of alignment still. Thought of maybe recording in B&W mode through individually R, G and B filters and then combining might be the best way to get colour alignment and the best images from an acro.
Anyway, with Saturn, I like it - in some ways it enhances the image. Good Stuff.

I think you have done very well, I am colour blind so your colour issues go unnoticed for me.. you have good detail so you gotta be happy with that

Hi John,
nice shot(s).
Do you use the "Auto White Balance".
Try checking the box so it is "on" for about 20 - 30 secs, and then uncheck it.
Shoot your avi as per normal.

Hi guys.
Robert, I haven't tried filters as yet, but I will next time I'm out. My histo R,G,Bs are way out too. Actually saturn looks pretty nice as B/W.
Thanks for that tip Gary. From memory I think I left that feature on auto....there was plenty going on so I can't say for sure, lol.
Thanks again.
Asimov
Those pics are great. I'd be stoked to get shots like that

Just trying my hand at reprocessing. I combined the above 2 pics in registax & resampled to a slightly bigger size. Messed with the saturation & tone balance etc etc. Then sharpened in neatimage at the risk of adding more noise.
(thanks Matt)
