This one is from 10 chain hill last week-end. Unfortunately I had some crud on the QHY8's optic window and the stars ended up with little strokes through them on all images ... bugger .... :sadeyes:

Also in the middle of this sequence, I plugged in peters camera to test it and then resumed with mine. The offset between the image groups left a line across the final image from the overscan portion of the qhy8 images. I cropped it out here but how would one overcome that?

Takahashi FS-102 @ F6 QHY8. 6 x 600sec and 4 x 900sec.

There's a lot more of it Trevor, would be a good spot to practice mosaics. Make sure the filter is clean first :)

Thanks for showing this one Robin. I only got around to trying M78 very late before sun-up, and wasn't really sure what I could expect to see. You've captured some great detail in there, albeit with the slight defects you described.
