Hi all,

I took this while I was waiting for Orion etc to rise out of the ground.. I think it needs more work, only got 2 hours in before cloud in the north decided against it
http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa314/thephotoguy131/Astro/AndromedaGalaxy.jpg

Exposure consists of 30mins of L, R, G, B data using a SBIG STL-11K and FSQ-106 @f5.0 on a Losmandy G-11

It was also my first time having to deal with atmosphjeric extinction seeing as i almost never shoot anything less than 30 degrees in altitude :o

Cheers for viewing :)

Lovely image:thumbsup:. It's too low on the horizon for me here:(, so its good to view an image from elsewhere.

Great image considering you're near Perth I thought Andromeda was near impossible from here so well done.

Lovely image, perhaps a little bigger scale would be preferred.

Great capture Ben, Awfully hard target from Victoria. It's so low in thye sky.
Your core is a bit bright but easily fixed.

Well done. I love the image scale with the 1100.

Fantastic capture from Perth:thumbsup:

I thought of pointing my 70-200mm at it but it seems so close to the horizon...
