Hi all,
this is a combination of 7 x 15 minute exposures at iso 800 with Astro 40D, Takahashi Astrograph f3.3 .
Processed in Deep Sky Stacker, Images Plus and Photoshop. I am still learning to use Images Plus, but these results are better than my attempt with Photoshop alone.

Wow Lester - cracking image there mate.
And I'm jealous of the Astro 40D!
Very nice work - framed beautifully too.

Very nice Lester. The center of the image looks a little bright with quite a halo around the main stars. Unsure what would have caused this but it may just be a processing artifact or may be an oversaturation problem from the 15 minute exposures. I usually do this target with 5 minute exposures as it is quite bright. You have also clipped the red a bit hence the blue backgrround.
Definitely a lot of nice detail and nebulosity.
Well done.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I will try this one again, and will balance the colours first in Photoshop before going to Images Plus for the digital developement.
All the best.
ps, I love the Astrograph Terry. Just hope I can improve on my processing to get the best out of it.

This image has a balance to it that makes it very pleasant to view. I agree with Hagar re the centre of the image is a bit bright/washed out - but with some tweaking/contrast enhancement it would round that out.
Nive image and I might actually image it myself one day.
A fantastic image Lester, the nebulosity looks wonderful.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I have been too busy to spend any time on Astro lately, due to harvest time on the farm. Just stopped now for a few days due to rain.
All the best.
