Only a mild DDP applied to the luminance and an increase in colour saturation.

A very delicate galaxy that exhibits stellar resolution which can be easily mistaken for noise, hence the processing was kept to a minimum.

ST-X10ME, BRC-250 scope 3 hr L, 1 hr R, 1 hr G, 1 hr B (RGB unbinned).

Yes, nice work on this Steven, I recon you need a really big chip camera though to make that BRC really sing

Thanks for the comments.

Mike,

The next CCD will not only have to be a wider field chip, but also considerably lighter than the SBIG ST-X10ME which makes flexure a potentially serious issue on the BRC-250.

Very nicely done Steven! Light processing definitely helps display this galaxy at it's best.

Thanks Doug.
Seeing conditions weren't exactly the best, but I am satisfied with the amount of detail in the image.

Hello Marcus.
More exposure would have helped as well. It would have allowed for a greater processing latitude.

Steven
