Need Help Please HIP116266

Hi,
I’m having a hard time finding information on this particular Star “HIP 116266” It is situated between the constellations Pieces & Aquarius. At the moment it’s just short of 1 degree above and to the western side of Uranus. It looks like an interesting star system & one I would like very much to learn about. (thinking it might open up some new observing options)
I took some snippets out if Stellarium to help Identify it. Can anyone give a LINK, so that I may find out more information about it?

unfortunately that's pretty much over the top for me. Some interesting info indeed, but not much of it I understand. I should of said a dummies guide. I'll look into topic such as Observing Double or something to that effect. I'm curios as to weather that star even has those two others revolving around it. If so what there distances are and the size of each etc... Perhaps all that info was at that link...but nothing I could comprehend. Thanks all the same though...much appreciate.

Thanks for your patients Paul,
I’m having a hard time finding my Stellarium directory under windows7. Never used an STS file before, however must learn. In fact I think I’ll set aside some time to “LEARN” full stop. I can see now why I’m a star gazer and not an astronomer. I got heaps of books, but nothing that really helps with breaking down the terms commonly used at such sites you’ve listed or even what the parallax or BV description in Stellarium is about. I never bothered before as I did not want to be put off, but can general say now that I’d like to know more. Once again, thanks for trying to help me. It’s obvious I need to help myself first in regards to the format of listed descriptions & there meanings. (As long as I can get away without having to comprehend complex equations & formulas I think I might be able to understand enough to get me by) I’m not sure if I’m right here, but if by understanding a stars spectral type may give me an aprox idea of the size of a star-combined with maybe a few other descriptions; I can learn without complex math-I think maybe on that context I can get a better appreciation-if you understand any of what I’m trying to say. None the less…I’m still glad I asked another question. When the weather clears I’ll check it out! Hope your have plenty of rain and clear skies your way.

No problems Dave, some of those sites have some pretty advanced stuff in them, they make me wonder at meanings and terms as well. The data really comes from professional astronomers. That's OK if you have a PhD in astronomy!!

By the way, this site is my bible for NGC objects. Has a map and photos plus data as well.

AWSOME…Link! I own the URANOMETRIA 2000 1&2 ATLASES- will get the 3rd Field guide later. I am having all sort of fun at that site with the settings and so forth! Once I get the Orientation right I can go along way with such sources. The right click options allow for making negative prints that I can use on my iPhone without the effort of scanning. Just so many things I can do with that site. I love how you can see all the hidden wonders & how accurately I can now track them down. Perfect for cross reference! I can't get it to set my location. There doesn't seem to be a button to save the values you type in.

Yes, you're right! I logged in and typed in my location's position, did a search and went back in to check and it hadn't stuck. His email is there, I might send him a query.

In spite of that, I don't know of a better single site for checking out NGC objects.
