Anthony Wesley (Bird) discovered an impact feature on Jupiter which made international astronomical news. There has also been more great images of the week and an International Year of Astronomy forum.
Hi Bryan, hows the Hyabusa going

Eric,
Haven't you got yours yet??? I thought you were getting it for the SV Camp???:D
Peter tells me mine will be delivered around the end of Jan.
Can't wait.
Will be slipping some cash over to Scott this week for a couple of new EP's & other bits.
Am getting Pentax XW7 & XW10 + a 17mm Ethos + some collimating gear. Will all be here ready & waiting for the 20" when it arrives.
Ric,
The old girl is flying.... I was in Dubai for a week last mth & left the bike with the mech. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! :eyepop:
Mainly flashing the ECU, installing a GPI Pro with a TRE & fuel remapping on the dyno to suit.
MAN!!!! what a difference. Pulls up at 165hp on the dyno. Not bad for a totally stock std motor.
I was also getting a slight front end vibration around the 200klm/hr to 230klm/hr mark.
Last week I tested it up to 250klm/hr & solid as a rock. Rides beautifully....
Sean & Warren, thanks guys........... It's always good to get some back up info. (even if it is only to tell us you're new)

Hi ya Matt,
How's things.... Has the ute transformed into anything else yet?????
All's good in Brissy, although I've hardly had the scope out this yr. Been very busy with new house & reno's etc......
Have also been spending a lot of spare time building internals for the new trailer I bought to transport the 20" SDM. Hopefully I'll have most of it done by the the time the scope is delivered in January.
Err......what ute, mate?
Hope you get some time at the eyepiece in the New Year.
All the best.
