Just thought I'd post a few shots from my trip to KI last month.
First three are of the Remarkable Rocks located in the beautiful Flinders Chase National Park. The last one was taken at Wisanger which is in the North East of the Island. Thanks for viewing :)

Interesting feel to the Remarkable Rocks shots, seems different for some reason - smooth cloud or something? .. nice anyhow. The only critique I would add is that I find the out of focus "head" portion of the rock in the second distracting.
I quite like the Wisanger shot, at from the thumbnail I thought it would be simple and "just grass" but looking at it large, it's quite a relaxing shot with nice lighting, framing and interest  It has a "fresh air and sun" feel about it, country feel, nice. :)
We went to KI in 2007 ... great place to visit, especially for photography :)

Thanks Roger, I appreciate the feedback and criticism - I need as much as I can get as am still getting the hang of the gear I'm using (big step up from my old Canon S3IS) :)
The R-Rocks are a composite of 3 shot HDR which could explain the "weird" look, that could also explain the focus as they were hand held and/or depth of field not right as well.
All were taken with a Canon 20D + Sigma 10-20mm
KI sure is a fantastic place.

Its funny .. when I open the 2nd image immediately you look at that "head" it appears ever so slightly out of focus but the longer I look at the image the more in focus it becomes until I cant pick any difference between it and the rest of the image focus wise.
I enjoyed these shots Adam, they have a surreal feel to me, almost like they are on a set for a Jurassic era type movie.
A great experiment for sure.

Nice shots Adam. I'll have to try and get over there one day.
Cheers,

Thanks guys, glad you like em. Worried that I'll get too sucked into the allure of HDR craziness :)
Stephen, not cheap getting there but well worth it all right.
Great shots Adam
