Another attempt on Mars, pretty difficult to achieve any sort of clarity but persisted with what the conditions offered :P While Mars was clearing the neighbors palm tree grove did some exploring of the Moon and came across this interesting area and took some pics , have to catch up with the names :)

Nice! Don't know the names of those areas of the moon either but the middle one I use as wallpaper on the PC - looks like a canyon has been ripped out by a grazing asteroid or something...

I like that central shot, that white mountain and the shadow cast over the plain. Awesome!

Stuart the Mars shot doesn't work for me - can you attach is as a jpeg instead of a bmp?
In the middle moon shot, the lava filled crater near the centre is Cassini.
Nice work!

Nice shots Stuart.
Left to right: Triesnecker Rille (the faint one near the central crater, with Rima Hyginus near the top,, Alpine Valley (near Plato), and the end of the Appeninus Range (I think??).
Try Virtual Moon Atlas, it is VERY good.
