Ha Horsehead - IC434

IC434, 4/15min, dark subtracted and flat fielded. Levels and curves in PS CS3. Tried to keep the stretching more reasonable than the 2070 post.

I have no idea Al. :lol: That's just how it come out. :shrug: I was expecting it to get blown out of the water when I started to stretch it ( as it normally would) but that was how it ended up. May be something to do with Ha???

Thanks Fred. I do like the combo of the WO72 and the H9. It really lets me use the full res of an image without having to scroll all over the place to see the whole image. I'm really hoping to add some more over the next few weeks to try and smoothen it out a bit.

what if you deselect just this star in a layer and stretch everything else????

don't get me wrong its a nice image but personally I dont like a blown out zeta

I'm hoping to get some time to try a re-process on this and NGC2070. I'll see if i can reproduce this effect. I'll also try your suggestion Narayan and see how it looks. I know what you mean about having a blown out Alnitak.

Lovely dark horse Paul. Alnitak is a bit unusual but the rest looks great. Looks like this camera and Ha filter have hit a nerve and a good one too.
