Last night cloud cleared so did a long run on N 70 a bubble nebula in the LMC.
13x10 mins ISO 400. 10 inch f5.6 newtonian. Baader MPCC coma corrector, LPS filter, modded 350d. Seeing was a bit iffy at times.

As usual Scott a lovely image with loads of detail. I think this one could have done with a bit more exposure but almost every image could use more for one reason or another.
Well done.

Not too bad. Looks as if there is a lot of other little objects in the field, too.:eyepop:
Nice work. I don't think I've seen pics of this one before.

Thanks all.
Yep, its a pretty obscure object.
If I had a spare 8 metre telescope to play with, I could get this (http://www.eso.org/gallery/v/ESOPIA/Nebulae/phot-40d-99-hires.jpg.html) pic of it :)

Well done Scott. Thanks for sharing this obscure (and very cool) target. One for the acquisition list!

Nah! yours is nicer IMO, the 8m shot is poorly processed (for visual appeal anyway) way too contrasty, the stars look crap and it's way too close up.

Interesting object. It's the southern hemisphere bubble nebula.
What's your whole field size on the 10"?
