Here is a redo of M81 with some data from 2006. Just playing with data as I'm under clouds on two hemispheres.

Magnificent Tom. Don't tell me you've lost your zest searching for faint stuff! Wait!...where's the faint integrated flux nebulae around M81 gone?!? ;)
Didn't get a chance to catch you at AIC, but have to say I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. Couldn't stop laughing at your ass-teroids joke at the start. What an ice breaker!:D Keep up the top work!

The new star spike program is pretty good but the spikes still have that not quite natural look :confuse3:. I still think thin black cotton crossed over the 6" objective would produce more natural looking spikes..?
Nice Sidonio none the less

Excellent image Tom, love the pink neb region's around the arm's. Wish we could see this Galaxy from down under.

Martin Pugh and I had a nice chat, but it would have been wonderful to meet you as well. I hope the presentation wasn't too boring. Yes, I thought that hemorrhoid (aka ass-teroid) joke would be a good ice breaker!
