Hi All,

Imaged Mars in IR at 807+nm this morning.
Out here at Broken Hill we are about to break our record for consecutive days over 36 C for Nov. Actually 36 C would be a bit of a cool change at the moment. The result of this is that anything close to the horizon is captured in abysmal seeing, even at 3:30am in the morning.

I am amazed at how much detail is in this image when contemplating just how unstable the live feed was for this avi. This is the best 1500 of 7500 frames.

Thanks for looking
Regards
Trevor

Hi Trevor, nice mate. Looking at your image compared to mine from the same morning is eerie! One could quite easily get confused with who posted what, they are so similar!

Thanks very much Liz, I hope to do better as it rises higher and when the seeing co-operates a bit better.

Thanks John, they are very similar, looking at both I would think your capture was maybe 40 or 50 minutes earlier.

I think John, that we have such amazing tools available to us now days, with regards to processing, that there are indeed many different paths that lead to a similar result.

Your Pic says capture time was at 3:32AM. Looking at my AVI, it was captured at 3:31AM. I haven't done a side by side comparison but I think I'm now going to have to.
