mate, i hate giving this "general" feedback, you know the thing "nice image, good focus, nice round stars", the kinda thing that doesnt say much! but i think in this instance it applies. Your tracking is good, as is the focus, but the thing for me that does it is the colours, a very nice blend, strong but not overpowering, pastel, but not washed out.

lovely !!

:P

Actually, to be honest it looks like the focus is a tad off to me? Especially in the crop? Agree with the colours and stars/tracking though.

In the 1st image I think the star 238th in from the right hand edge and 86th from the top edge is a bit pink, perhaps to do with curves adjustment ... but apart from that ... the focus looks good, tracking looks great, framing spot on .. oh and the colours are excellent ... all up a great picture Jeanette.

IMHO there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's a pearler.
Focus is actually very good. You nailed it. It appears soft because of the processing but the data is tops. Keep'em coming.

Could that be from the noise reduction? This is why I don't like using it. It fixes one thing up at the expense of something else.

Yes - that was my first thought.

Great work, jjj.

I prefer the wider image, but that's just a personal thing.

Just my opinion but I reckon the focus is a little off too. Noise reduction does not necessarily mean it starts looking out of focus.

I do like the colour but I reckon a small cuves boost could help it really snap.

Generally a nice image JJJ and I look forward to more in the coming imaging months.

Hi Jeanette:
It seems to me a great photography of that beautiful nebula of the South hemisphere.
Crop does not leave place to doubts of good focus and guided in the task.
Very good work.
Many greetings
