This little guys approaching the edge so I grabbed it before it "went over". Suprisingly little on the disc AND very few proms.
PST-B90 at f/30 DMK21 camera. 3 pane mosaic.

Hi Dave
Great image!
AR1029 has almost made the return trip - should be visible over the next few days - will it keep it's 1029 number or be designated the next number 1031?

No Matt once it remains intact it'll keep 11029. Weather is crap here so dont know if I'll get this time round.

Well done there Dave.
Did you notice the very evenly spaced rings on the left of the image.
It looks almost as if something has hit the sun and has left a series of rings ????
See directly left of the centre almost to the edge of the image ...small rings....

Ah I see. Sorry but its only a dust spot on the CCD I missed. I'll have to take more care to tidy my images - good spot though.
Thanx

Wonderful image Dave, I like the comparison with Earth that really puts it into perspective.

Darn, I thought you were onto something there, the rings look very concentric and I thought it may have been something on the surface of the Sun.....
Good work and keep it up.
Geoffro.
