Aragorn....that sums up pretty much what I am doing but my week was a bludge......
I Watched the cricket and had the scope set on Saturn.....best night I have viewed Saturn by far.....
Those 3 stars around Saturn in a triangular fashion are only stars arn't they..... Saturns moons would be closer to the rings wouldn't they?
My scope seeking out Saturn at 10:00pm Brisbane time

I believe they are some of Saturn's moons, I will stand to be corrected on this though.

Striker,:)
You will be able to see 5 or 6 moons around Saturn at any one time.
Use a software programme like Cartes Due Ciel or any other to check.
You can also use the Astronomy 2005 to check the moons positions:confuse2:
So how do you like your scope?
A few hints , set you max slew rate to 4. Get a Mounting assistant 11 plate asap:)
Now you have this scope enjoy it :P
Best.

Stuart:)
I use the Trapezium stars to see how the seeing is. If i can see 6 ok I know the seeing is pretty good.
My ? is what's the seeing like in you location on average?
Best.
