Bright meteorite - Perth

My Mums friend Celina was travelling home at 5pm when she saw a bright streak
across the sky. Could this be a meteorite? Has anyone had similar expieriences?
Taurus (The contellation in which a meteor shower is currently occuring from) was below the horizion at at nadir (Opposite the zenith) so it couldnt have been a Taurid.
Did anyone see the same event?

At about 9pm last night I saw exactly what you are describing in the south I suppose we would have to work out the time difference to see if it was the same one.:confused2:

yeah that could be the time I didn't look at the clock as I went out so I was just estimating the time
