Whistling Kite (?)

Hi all,

I think this is a Whistling Kite, but if anyone has a better idea please correct me. It was in a tree overlooking Lake Cootharaba. Taken with a Pentax K100D and 70-300mm telephoto.

yeh thats a tough one eh! not enough information there, but i think you are right too, its either that or the light morph little eagle, but i dont see the booties lookin right, but beak seems a tiny bit too big for WK, and i would of thought more streakin down its chest, ah well thanks for sharing :) good mystery

Thanks Dave and Kearn. Looks like I'll stick with the Whistling Kite labels, at least for now.

If it is a Whistling Kite, it's a juvenile. The colouration and wing patterns seem a little weak for it to be an adult.
