I lent a friend my scope one night for a few hours, while I went out shopping and she baby sat:ashamed:.. Big mistake. Ow well what is done is done! No stories here but now it seems the mirror is smudged. She tried to help apparently by cleaning it.
Anyway where do I get it fixed? How much on average? How long will it be gone? Should I buy a new mirror or a new scope? etc ect etc.:confused2:

It's still usable but I can be fussy and pedantic at times. I consider myself to be a Novice after 3 years, but like things to be the best they can when I can.:scared2:

I live in the southern suburbs of Melbourne near Dandenong if the location info helps.

what did she try to clean it with - what did she do & how much of the mirror was affected? a pic may help..if the damage is only small it may not greatly affect the views..if you need to get it re-coated that can be expensive a sydney firm does most

if the mirror needs a recoat, try washing it first, the mirrors nowdays are quite hardy! as they have coatings to protect the actual mirroring part.! there are tutorials on this site on how to do it!
