arcseconds, oversampling, pixels...

Been noticing a few posts around recently talking about oversampling, matching pixel sizes to magnifications, f-ratios etc. Wondering if someone can point me in the direction of a link to do more reading on it? Want to understand it a little better and how my current equipment is suited and also for possible future acquisitions.

How does it relate to guiding? And imaging?

Attached is an article I wrote a while back in 2006 for Sky & Space that will give you a pretty good idea about sampling, arcs secs per pixel etc....It pretty basic but enough to get you up to speed on the theory.

Yeah been out of it for a while. Have done no Astronomy/Astrophotography for a few years now. Life getting back to a point I have time again so back into it. Lucky I did not sell any of my gear.

A heck of a lot has changed equipment wise since in 3 years. So much choice now its awesome
