Skywatcher tracking dobs

Hi all, could anyone tell me if you can use these tracking dobs in dobsonian fashion, ie use them without the motors? After seeing dobs at Barambah (thanks Randall and the others) I want to get one, but cant decide wether to get tracking or make an eq platform.

Thanks for the reply Geoff, I just saw that Andrews had Sold Out of 8'' tracking dobs and wondered if anyone at IIS had one. Andy.:screwy::).
