I took this shot on friday night at lostock using a ed80 from york optical, this was first light for this little scope and iam very pleased by its performance,15x4min subs
with the 20d darks &flats ,processed in p/s and pixilinsight

Top shot Al. The Running Man looks awesome as does all that outer nebulosity on M42.

Nice one. Looks like you need a flattener now to correct the coma in the corners.
There are a few around. Televue .8X reducer/flattener, William Optics and I believe APM sells generic flatteners for different sized scopes.

That tis a nice shot Alan - congrats. It looks like m42 is definitely on my hit list this summer - I'm really impressed with how everyone is imaging m42.
