View Full Version here: : October Sunset in Brisbane
Enjoying a couple of days off work. Thought I'd go exploring.
Spent a pleasant few hours in the Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-Tha before driving down to Kangaroo Point.
Had my camera with me and grabbed a few shots for a quick pano of the city skyline and river, stitched together in CS3.
It's a bit rough and ready, but is a fair rendition of the sunset over the city.
And from out and around the Tropical Dome at the Botanic Gardens.
I thought I'd have some fun with a black and white abstract, enjoying the form and shapes of the dome and the lines available within the structure.
The colour shot's about reflections and repeating shapes, whilst retaining the 'botanic' aspect of the environment.

I really enjoy the framing that people who have that knack come up with. Its brilliant, but unfortunately not contagious. Ide still be standing back trying to fit that whole dome into a shot.
Love the Brissie panorama (as rough as it is hahahahaha) and also these two.
Really well done Matt
Hi Jeff, and thanks for the kind comments.
I could have spent a lot more time on the pano fixing things up which are there, if you look closely enough. But in the end, I was happy with how it looked after the small amount of work I'd done.
It really comes down to a judgement call as to how much time to spend 'fiddling' with an image.
Cheers.
