:wink2: Do you believe in Witches and curses
I am starting to believe in Witches and curses, I think I was cursed in the old country when I was one year old and my life has been one big disaster after another, to give you an example if there was 1000 items on a table and only one was faulty I would pick that one It happens all the time
Ps pardon my spelling

Do I believe in witches. It's not a case of belief, I know quite a few witches:D
In so far as curses go, they only work where the person being "cursed" has an ingrained belief in them having the ability to work. It's a case of the "self fulfilling prophecy". If you believe that they can have an effect, then they will.

You could make money out of this. Advertise so ...

I firmly believe that some people are lucky, some are unlucky, and some have average luck (the majority of the population). Some people are deemed unlucky (they are called Jonahs).

Many in the western world just believe in themselves and what they can see, and everything else is nonsense to them.
Go into the highlands of New Guinea and ask them this question and the scales will be tipped in the other extreme.

And I curse all those who do.

Do I believe in both Witches and Curses???
Yes, absolutely! They are both real and there is evidence to support their existence.
For all those who deny the existence of either, you are fooling yourself and are devoid of sound logic.
Now whether those whom are refered to, or have labeled themselves as Witches, or whether Spells and Curses actually have any real net affect, is a totally seperate issue.
Nonetheless, in answering the literal question, yes, both have and do exist.

Have you heard of "The Law of Attraction", Varclav? :)
It's general premise is that you attract into your life whatever you think, or focus on, whether consciously or unconciously.
If you think you are cursed, if you think your life is one disaster after another, if you think you will only pick duds, then that is all you can reasonably expect.
If you want Varclav, I can send you a brand new, shrinkwrapped, 2-CD Set of "The Secret", by Rhonda Byrne. It will teach you how to change your mindset so you can expect and attract positive things into your life. I normally sell it for $20, but I'll send it to you free of charge. I'll pay for postage too.
Just send me a PM if you are interested. :)

Barron: I'm looking at a new car next year. Care to come along?
Xelasnave: I know what its like to be stalked by some crazy mad *itch with whom you have nothing in common and no attraction. As I said earlier, PM me! I have all sorts of polittically incorrect ways to remedy the situation :)!

As long as they are white witches, I get to run around naked and they use me as a s..... slave but don't want to sacrifice me, I'll join in
:D:D:D:D
Like many others here, I am convinced that a curse only works if the 'cursed one' believes it will.
However, given the power of the mind and its ability to create what it believes, doesn't this mean that curses are, in some ways, real?

I believe in the power of visualisation and could list so much to prove the point.
I was into "the secret" before it was popular or invented.
How it works comes from within however and it does not depend on cosmic forces etc etc... but dreaming about things simply prepares us for opportunity so that when one presents consistent with our dreams or goals we are more likely to take up and capitalise upon the opportunity.
AND in truth I wanted such a whitch in my life..I like girls with spirit who are not girly...can live in the bush under a tarp, cost nothing to run, can beat most men in a fist fight...thats my type of girl but as I was not specific in my vissualisation when I asked for "crazy" the order got misinterpreted y the Universe..I meant crazy in a funky sort of way not in the clynical context.
The boat I bought is a great example... it was what I saw for years in my minds eye...so when I saw it I guess I had to have it... so the vission came true because it was always there at the back...
Reality is best loked at as a personal thing as each human has their own personalised version..and as to what is real... think about Santa Clause ..is he real... no you say... well he is real ..not in the specific context of an old man living at the North Pole but the concept manifests a certain reality that prevents denying his reality... same with JC be you religious or not he is real because he exists in the mind of so many...
I have had some funny things happen in the mind game field but the key is not to grasp onto stuff and build any reality upon it..most stuff just is and its reality determined when you personally qualify it... meet a person..you qualify them.. nice horrible whayever and to a large degree that is what they become for you as you accept your expectations manifested by their actions and reject stuff outside that on the basis of a one off ... love is like that sortta...

I never believed in curses until I stocked up on a lot of astro items in July. It took 3 months for good weather to reappear in Perth, the (big) city with statistically the least clouds in Australia. I still haven't had a good run to get the QHY8 going.:)

Pete tonight I'll be out there in the dark (with clothes on) wishing for no clouds, nearly no moon and a touch of wind
Gee it's like that outside at the moment see wishes do come true but I'm hoping it stays that way and curse the gods if it doesn't

So, some in this thread are suggesting that distortion shaping of reality can occur by a mere thought process then? Sorry, I don't buy it. I'm not really sure how luck works, but it does tend to gravitate to some people in varying degrees from my experience.
I once was talked into play 2 up with a bunch of mates on Anzac day years ago...let's just say it took me 26 goes before I correctly picked heads/tails. Yes. 26 goes. The odds of that...
I've personally found that if it can break for me, it usually does, and usually at the worst possible time. Why? I have no idea. I do consider myself a rather unlucky person, and the interesting thing is that after many years of disagreeing with me, my 2 closest friends both recently did 180º degree turn arounds and agreed [with me]. Turns out that they'd been lying to me for all those years, in an attempt at creating a positive viewpoint - for my supposed benefit!
As I said earlier, I firmly believe in luck - a few percentage of people are lucky, the same unlucky, and the greater portion of the population have average luck (roughly 50/50 between good and bad). Why? I don't know. It's one of those mysteries I guess.

I for one try not to associate with negative people. Their way of perceiving is so distorted that they can't see forest for the trees. Nothing seems to go right for them, and even when it does, they brush it aside waiting for the next hardship to come along. They believed they're cursed, and they're right, they are cursing themselves.
There are positives in just about every situation, no matter how grim it seems. It's up to you to find them.
It's all very Pollyanna'ish I know, but you can't go through this life moaning and groaning about "poor me" otherwise you'll miss out on what it's all about. And that is enjoying life and all it has to offer.

Using your logic Jeanette, I could argue that there are negatives in just about every situation. So, who's right? I personally dislike this false positiveness that I see. It's half the reason why this society is so screwed up in so many areas imho. If something is wrong, then say it is. I see too many people ignore things that are wrong, and that is why things do go wrong! I guess we live in a society where there is social pressure from the lazy majority, against the minority who do recognise issues and have suggestions for them to be rectified.
I'm a firm believer in (as an example), if something is Black, then you call it Black. I spent 7 years living with a person who had the attitude of everything is hunky dory and I found it rather annoying to say the least.

That's the thing though - anyone who's met me will generally say that I'm quite a cheery, fun guy. I have a serious side to me, but everyone does (well nearly everyone). I'm not overly depressive in my thoughts, but I'm not overly cheery either, I tend to simply call things as I see them (good/bad). I mean, imagine if somethings broken, and no one reports it. It'll never get fixed. If I report it, someone then thinks that I'm a whinger, cos I reported it. You can't win lol. You could be the eternal optomist and have the thought that "it'll get noticed and fixed", but to me, that isn't being a part of society. Society has to work together, for the betterment of *everyone*. Perhaps I'm too much of a thinker (or an optomist lol).
I jokingly say to people "I'm a pessimistic optomist" (or I could say it the other way around). It's intended to be ironic sarcastic humour, but few people seem to actually get it.

No no no no Dave.
When life is at it's very worst, and believe me, I've been there, still there in many ways, you just HAVE to be positive. How could you possibly get through it otherwise?
Sure you have your down times, but you can't allow yourself to dwell on them otherwise you just spiral down down down until it becomes all too hard to climb back up again.
The glass is half full.:P

ah good, I misunderstood your previous post then. I have a similar attitude, for the same reasons. There is always positives, you just have to find them. Sometimes, it is very difficult to do so, but with some effort, and friends and family, you can. A good social support group is always the best thing when you're feeling down and out. And laughter is really the best medicine.
