Helix from poor data

This spring South Australia was very cloudy. Even when the sky sensor read clear there where high thin clouds. I imaged during this time however and got some Helix data. The clouds flare out the bright stars which is sick but I still present the image here only to illustrate what can be derived from poor data. Well, it looks good to me Tom, I only wish I could be this good. More data will of course, improve it.

I actually really dont mind the slight glow around the brighter stars, and the nebula itself looks fantastic! I currently only dream of getting an image of the helix that looks this good.. :)

Great work.. revealing the outer extension of the helix whilst maintaining a very smooth, noise free image is quite the achievement

This is an H-O-O image. The Ha exposures were 3600 seconds x 12. OIII was 3600 seconds x 12. Unbinned. I wish I could get some RGB data to replace the stars with but that will likely not happen.

Very nice Tom. The colour in the Helix is very very good. as are all your images.
You have a great grasp and understanding of colour in your images.
