Can anyone help me identify these mountains? This image was taken with a 4MP Olympus Camedia D-545 Zoom digital camera with a 10mm EP and a 305mm (12") Skywatcher Collapsible Dobsonian. Its shows nicely the shadows and helps to show the altitude of the various mountains. In the top-right of the image there appears to be a fracture zone in a chain of small mountains. The seeing was roughly 5-7/10. This image was taken during twilight.

I think they are Montes Caucasus (Caucasus Mountains). Please see

Hi Sean,
Nice pic. The mountains are the Caucasus, lower right with the Apennines in the shadow upper left.
The main craters are: lower R/H Aristoteles, L/H Eudoxus and the smaller clear crater in the centre of the Caucasus is Calippus.
Also you have the Alpine Valley centre right.
Again nicely done!
