I just made it before the clouds came over.
Really bright. Pleasure to watch. Came up from the south east and was heading north almost parallel to the meridian. It flared brilliantly at 50 or so degrees ENE for a few seconds. I could still follow it until it got lost in the clouds.
Made my night so far !

Yeh, sorry about that. It was a flare. Iridium 70 I believe, possibly the same one as you, but it only went to Mag -5 with me, due to my location. Same time as your with the hour diff (I got to keep remembering that has changed now).
Good to here the little tyke was enjoying it.

Your post prompted me to look for the ISS tonight. Heavens Above said it would transit just after 18:14, so I set my alarm and jumped up during dinner. Was travelling much more slowly than I thought it would, but Heavens Above did say it would take several minutes to cross the sky.

I've never seen an Iridium flare - might have to go looking for one...

Cheers
