This is my first post.

After being blown away by Mike's latest M16 image it is with a degree of trepidation I thought it might be of interest to share what I have struggled to achieve with a small chip camera of this thought provoking object.

I have to admit that a bigger camera beckons when reserves permit.

No need for any trepidation with that image Richard - it's a keeper. Welcome to IIS.

David, many thanks for your encouragement. I just had a look at your Web Site. Your Macro images are exquisite. Another bar for me to reach for.

Hey Rich, that's a nice first post no need to be concerned, it is just time that you need. Rome wasn't built in a day  Looking at your equipment mate you certainly have the nice comercial stainless steel kitchen to work in :eyepop:... now just to practise with different recipies :P it will all come together for sure

Here, have a laugh at my early CCD shots

Thanks mike. Like you I think my kitchen tends to be windy and wet most of the time. I look forward to having a deep chat over a cleansing ale if you are going to the IIS Camp.

You may not remember but I was the guy you helped Polar align a quirky LX200 over a bottle of red at the NSW Star Party 2 years ago.

Regards

Richard.

Now by a "deep" chat do you mean say..?..20hrs or so? We could do it in 15min sub chats :P...Yep I'll be there so ask away...and the ale sounds great too! :D

*blushes* my macro images are OK, as always, I recommend checking out LordV's macro images - the best in the business in the world imho. Brilliant. Thanks for the compliments, it's always nice :) I just wish I could get my astro imaging as good as yours!
