Hi all!!

Just a run down. Was cleaning my Zodiac binos, old one's. Possibly 1970's???

One sides eyepiece has a normal threaded attach, but the other has some play to it... It also seems like it should screw adjust, but is still sticking out too far, I think and free spinning, not adjusting.

My Bino's now seem to be totally out of wack. I can still achieve an aligned image, by unscrewing the one lens out half way etc.

I know my explanation is lacking and I am happy to fill in any blanks...

Any ideas anyone? As you can tell, I am a real noob. Sorry. Thanks.

OK, persistance pays off.

Just realised that the central lens element, is attached inside the eyepiece via a three screw method inside. The three screws had loosed and the element was spinning, therefore not allowing the inner thread to be tightened onto the body...

Answer tighten the inner screws and I'm sure it will allow me to screw the eyepieces back on...

Delete this thread please, if you wish..

Isn't it amazing that, in describing a problem in clear enough terms others can understand, you end up finding the solution yourself.

I'm not sure about the "clear terms". :)
