Well, September goes the way of August. Only a couple of nights of clear skies in Melbourne. Hopefully, the unsettled spring weather will pick up soon:rolleyes:.

Perth had a near-record 28 days of rain out of 30. That says something about the skies we've had.

(shame the rain has been light, so we ended up under-average for rainfall)

I'd give anything for a skerrick. A tad would do. Even a dash!!

Roma isnt much better between the smoke and the recent dust storm, the dust is still evident, we havent had much luck either. We have fires about 1 hour away and the wind is blowing the smoke this way. Forcast for rain tomorrow and saturday.

It MUST be all these people buying new telescopes!!!
They're probably all-over South Gippsland as we've had six nights out of about 145 that it was worth setting up:(!

Yup, been absolute trash here since Autumn. If my memory serves me right autumn was good for clear nights but that was killed off by the DSE and their flippin burnoffs  Some of the 4 or 5 nights we got since March were very nice transparency-wise though, better than anything in summer.

It's always something. If it's not clouds its smoke. If its not smoke its dust, if its not dust its dew , if its not dew its wind, if its not wind its full moon, if its not full moon, its the mosquitos, if its not mosquiotos, its having to wake up at 6am the next day, if its not having to wake up at 6am the next day its other commitments...

LOL

wow that's very un-Perthlike :eyepop: That is more southwestern Tassiesque :P

Strewth!
After reading these depressing stats, it's the last time I'll complain about weather here. My condolences.

I was in the Blue Mountains on the weekend just gone 8C wind chill factor, according to the cafe we went to, was -11C. It was blowing a gale at Katoomba on Saturday and believe it or not in the lull between wind gusts it snowed not much but snow and it disappeared as soon as it touched something. Listening to the people we stayed with it was 30+ degrees the week before so we packed to suit BIG mistake.
