thanks allan, I found it quite easy to image, but thats the advantage of having a dark sky to image from though you pay to get there. :D (2.5hrs from perth) .

I guess its just great when you hvae data that you can push with the levels and curves. It makes it a joy to process and spend time when you know your noise isn't going to stuff the image!...

Very nice  Much prefer this to Orion :)

No darks! I suppose it was cold and the 400ISO helped. Still, surprisingly clean for no darks.

Nice one.

2.2 degrees ambient temp the 40d was lovin it, and close to 2 hours worth of data! :) makes targets like this stand up!

Very nice image Brendan, it certainly isn't the same image from suburban light polluted Perth.

Your not wrong, dark skies makes the difference, to the point that the only time i set the scope up at home is to do testing. If i had Ha filters then i would probably go a bit harder during the full moon from home but alass :D

Yeah, good one. Colours very saturated but not too much.

Thankyou all for the words, it makes it worth it sitting in 2 degrees doing not too much for a few hours. When all the images look exactly like the last ;D.

Do remember that this was taken while the half moon was up, there was a slight bit of moon wash so i couldn't pull out the other detail that i know is there on the top right hand side, as it would ruin the overall image. I will be definately adding some good data to it soon. :D
