I've replaced this scope with an RC8/G11 combo, now it's sitting around in its box, waiting for a new owner.
It's a 10" Meade RCX400, f/8. Includes all the usual accessories, Meade 24mm S5000 UWA eyepiece, 2" diagonal, Field tripod etc.
Also included is a homemade counterweight system, a Starstuff top accessory plate (which is compatible with Losmandy accessories).
Optional accessories are the wedge, an AP 2.7" visual back type assembly and an AP 0.75 focal reducer.
The scope is in top condition and lived in my observatory, it's a bit dusty, but the glass is clean.
This is a fantastic scope, no problems with focus motors, very easy to collimate, great for photography.
Most of the images taken on my website were taken with this scope, so you can see it's a fine scope. I have also used it visually on occasions, it's a very nice view. If I could defork it I'd probably keep it as a planetary scope, but that would deprive someone of a fine piece of engineering.
As a price comparison, a new 10" LX200R (which has similar optics, though f/10, rather than f/8) is $6k from Bintel. This one isn't new, but you get a substantially better scope (fixed primary, electronic collimation and focus, a much better tripod). The new Celestron HD OTA's are going to be hellishly expensive and are f/10 or f/11.
I have the shipping boxes, but local pickup is preferred.
Price $5000.
PM if interested.
Cheers
Stuart
