Sold thanks Scott

Due to upgrades, I have for sale an LXD75 equatorial mount and a 4” Skywatcher Pro Gold Series 100mmED OTA. Would like to sell as package for $1,550 and pickup is preferred.

Info on mount can be found on this link https://www.bintelshop.com.au/welcome.htm (https://www.bintelshop.com.au/welcome.htm) then click on “MOUNTS” on left hand side.

Info on telescope (example is the 80mm version) https://www.bintelshop.com.au/welcome.htm (https://www.bintelshop.com.au/welcome.htm) then click on “TELESCOPES” on left hand side and goto page 4

Optics on scope are great, tube has some marks from tube rings. Mount also has very minor marks, but goto and tracking is great. It has 2” diameter tripod legs and can carry a 10” Newtonian (refer to Meade website) I’ve attached a photo of package as is and an image of the Leo triplet of galaxies taken with the scope through a DSLR.

I’m based in Wollongong, please pm if interested.

Cheers,

Dave

Howdy,
Would you sell the scope separate?
Cheers,
Gray.

If I had a buyer for each Item, I would sell the scope for $700 and the mount for $850 plus delivery/insurance if applicable.

That is an f9 scope, is it not? Sorry, I thought it was f7. I am no longer interested.

Hi Gray, being an f/9 it's about 1/2 an f-stop slower than an f/7.5 ED80, but as it has a 100mm objective, it gathers over 50% more light. Basically means exposure times are similar, but equivalent magnifications are a little sharper in the 100mm.

Ummm.....I was looking for a wider field of view. According to CCDCalc, it is very similar to the 200mm reflector I have already.:thanx:
