View Full Version here: : Melbourne storm into the nrl final
The Mighty Melbourne Storm punished the Bronco's into submission in a 40-10 demolition at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.:D
Bring on the Eels next week in the NRL final.
GO STORM:thumbsup:

I support two NRL teams: the Tigers and anyone playing Melbourne. GO EELS!:P

That's weird. In the NRL you are supposed to support your team and whoever is playing Manly. Is this just getting in a dig at the Mexicans? Since Souths are out, I'll be supporting the Eels too.
1st team to win from position 8?
I wonder if Nathan Cayless is going to be right for the game with his hamstring injury and if Jared Haynes and Matt Keating are going to play due to reports.
They say that the league will give a standing on Haynes at 11am tomorrow (sunday).
You can't half tell by the commentary that they all hate Melbourne.
Lucky for the Broncos cause it used to be them.
C'mon Melbourne, lets stick it upem.
Must also mention that I used to follow Paramatta before Melbourne had a team when I used to live in Paramatta.
Used to love watching Brett Kenny and Peter Sterling.

Damn straight!:P;)
All tongue in cheek of course... nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry

Your my kind of guy.
At one time St George was at the bottom of my list. But they have been lifted many places since all the other interloppers came along. Now my most hated team is Melbourne. Up the tigers!
The same goes for the Swans I will never support them as they are interloppers to the VFL which is now called AFL to let the other interloppers in. Go North Melbourne!

I turned it off before half time , just couldn't watch my team get the
flogging that was surely coming there way .
Hope its a game next week . I like watching a good close game
no matter whos playing ( even manly) :)
Slater and Inglis bagging 5 is a pretty good measure of whats
heading the eels way in attack , I think the storms forwards
are where this game will be won for them in that the eels arn't
going to get that leverage of that dissjointed yet skillfull go forward up the middle they do so well.
but its another game next week and the best team will win :)

I hate to say it but I really can't see Parramatta winning next week, I think Melbourne will be too strong for them. Jared Hayne has been cleared to play, and I thought his absence might have dulled the Eels' confidence somewhat, but even a full strength side and tens of thousands of fans/bandwagon jumpers cheering them on won't be enough. With the likes of Slater and Inglis working some of the magic I saw last night I can't imagine the Eels have too much to top it. I can only hope I'm dead wrong!
Is is just me or is it kind of suspicious that Haynes gets off this year and they made sure that Cam Smith got rubbed out for 2 weeks last year.
All NSW media saying that if Haynes is suspended, 30,000 fans won't show, NRL sees a loss of revenue.:screwy:
I hope the Storm win just to stick it up the NRL cheifs and the Channel Nine commentary team again this year.

Grant - I think the big thing is whether or not there was malice in the shot by Haynes. That said, favouritism in sport is not an uncommon thing.
I'm a parra fan, have been for nearly 30 years, I'd love to see them win, it's been 23 long years...

Baz,
The Swans are still the South Melbourne Football Club. It says so on the back of their jerseys. They have a strong following south of the border.
What will you say if the Kangas finally decide to move north?

I didn't make it to half time. Just too boring. After the great AFL grand final on Sat I just couldn't get into such a lop-sided game. If I do watch the league grand final I hope it's a better game than that.

I don't have any real interest in AFL but I have had a soft spot for them since they were the also rans back in the early 70's. I listened to them upset Richmond and have followed them on and off since so I would probably still follow them. Its the old North V South story.

Don't quote me but the real story is Parra said to the NRL. "If you rub Hayes out we will do the Balmain/South Sydney trick and not turn up for the final"
